About Meetings: Minnesota's Hospitality Journal

Meetings is published quarterly by Minnesota Monthly Custom Publications. It is a comprehensive and essential resource for the meeting industry, aimed both at the experienced, professional meeting planner and at the novice who finds meeting planning creeping into his or her job description. The goals of the editorial, advertising, and resource listings are to help the planners save money, make money, locate the resources they need, and plan successful and productive meetings. The magazine is a reinvention and dramatic expansion of MMCP's former annual publication, Greater Minnesota Meetings & Conventions.

About Our Staff

Editorial: Meetings is supported by the largest editorial staff of any regional magazine serving the meeting and hospitality industry. Editor Lori Gardner and Senior Writer Tim Gihring call on their extensive knowledge of the Twin Cities travel, tourism and hospitality industry. Also on staff are two veterans of a competing meetings-related magazine; Contributing Editor Dawn Langfellow and Assistant Editor Elizabeth Kephart.

Publishing/Sales: Our sales team is headed by Peter McNiff, director of Minnesota Monthly Custom Publications. Our sales team also includes two well-known veterans to the industry, Terry Wolf, and Pat Fobair. Our administrative coordinator is Susan Holznagel and circulation manager is Tracy Ust.

Design/Production: Minnesota Monthly Custom Publications' award-winning team of graphic designers and production staff manage the magazine's photography, illustrations, layout and production. The team is led by production director Christine Gray and art director Rob Johnson.

About Meetings' Circulation

Meetings: Minnesota's Hospitality Journal reaches 15,000 qualified subscribers, with a total readership of 27,000 (a BPA circulation audit is pending). We have invested a substantial effort in developing a strong readership of meeting planners. We didn't buy our subscriber list; we built it one name at a time.

Circulation members include the Meeting Professionals International/Midwest Chapters, the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Minnesota Chapters of the International Special Event Society, the National Speakers Association, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, Minnesota Concierge Association, and convention and visitors bureaus and chambers of commerce throughout the state. In addition to direct mail to subscribers, Meetings is distributed at key industry conferences, trade shows, meetings and events.
